The Cat Practice is a feline only, full service veterinary hospital located in New Orleans’ Historic Garden District. Owner and staff veterinarian, W. Mark Cousins, is the only board certified feline specialist in Louisiana. Our services and physical design are customized specifically for the feline patient, having won awards for innovation as well as hospital design from local and national organizations. We are proud of our facility and invite you to ask any staff member to provide you with a tour. We hope you find your surroundings comfortable and peaceful.

Here at The Cat Practice, our mission is to celebrate the bond between our clients and their feline family members and to provide an institution of healing, education, and peace.

office visits
To expedite your office visit, we ask that you call and make an appointment to see a doctor. We also ask that all cats be confined to their carriers while waiting in the lobby. Please feel free to call and make an appointment at (504) 525-MEOW (6369).

drop-off services
For your convenience, we offer drop-off services for routine exams, as well as for illness or injury. For example, you may drop off your cat on your way to work and pick him/her up on your way home.

off street parking
The Cat Practice has a complimentary parking lot alongside our building at the corner of Felicity and Magazine streets.
