In 1987, my dream was to build both a facility and a practice that celebrates the special bond between a cat and its owner. The motivation to achieve this ideal is the unique love, companionship, and commitment that people feel for their feline family members and vice versa. Communication, education, affection, top-quality, cutting-edge veterinary care, service, and aesthetics were all considered as core values critical to the ethos of the feline veterinary hospital experience I was trying to create. Hopefully, if it succeeded, the end result would be a veterinary experience where not only cats would be comfortable, but their owners would be as well. Hence, The Cat Practice was born. Our commitment through the years has been to evolve to meet a changing and improving medical landscape and continually strive to exceed the expectations of our clients with our brand of service. My sincere hope is that all of our clients and patients feel the peace, healing, education, and relationships that are the building blocks of The Cat Practice. |

Dr. Katherine Dunn, DVM Curriculum Vitae
Has been a full-time associate with The Cat Practice since 1995. She knew she wanted to pursue a career in all- feline practice during her senior year at Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine, in Auburn, Alabama. She knew she was in the right place the moment she stepped foot into The Cat Practice.
Dr. Dunn single-mindedly pursued her dream of being a veterinarian since childhood. She graduated valedictorian of her high school class and cum laude from veterinary college, and still expects the same top performance from herself every day at The Cat Practice.
